Voices
I have heard the river hum as it timely moves along
Paying to nature its homage with soft and cheerful songs.
I have heard the shrilling whistle of winter’s chilling
breeze
Playing with the emotions of the ever dancing trees.
I have heard the rolling thunder sing with its harmonic base
Moving in accordance with the drummer’s beat and pace.
I have heard the seas and oceans through their ever-clash-
ing waves
Clap their hands and sing throughout the live-long day.
I have heard birds of different hues sing sweet melodious songs
As their cheerful bands hover o’er the land.
I have heard the different animals in their own creative way
Sing many epic pieces; blissful, serene and gay.
And more than any other, I have heard some salient choirs
Paint the air with gladness by their bright melodious fire.
But of all the voices I’ve heard, whatever that melody or sound
None is half as thrilling as your very dulcet tones.
