If I were asked to swap you girl
For a zillion tons of pearls
Before the offeror
I would chant “Your gems I do not want.”
And should he think I can’t resist
His gift for which most mortals wish
My prized rhetoric would then flow
“Take all your treasures friend and go.”
And should he still confront me, friend
And make his offering once again
At his cold persistence I would laugh
And frankly tell him, “Friend back off.”
Our friendship is a gift divine
Worth more than a zillion gem filled mines
We therefore shall not trade our love
Or in any shameful deals indulge.
