Those first smiles I can ne’er forget
For they created in me such serious unrest
Pricked by their beauty and infinite charm
I was left absolutely helpless and plainly disarmed.
Whenever I saw them my heart skipped a beat
And currents flowed down from my head to my feet
My feelings all changed and the world became blank
Then all of a sudden in fantasy I sank.
To see them again and again I would crave
Though they stirred in my bosom such boisterous waves
But still I was left happy and totally inspired
To personally claim, that which I so deeply admired.
Not a bit of the lustre is lost with the years
They are still so enchanting, captivating and fair
Oh those beautiful smiles, I still love to see
For they brighten my days and fill me with glee!
